Suspension bridges are all the rage. Do you need one?
- Comox Valley Regional District with a 2016 population of 65,558 doesn’t have one.
- Kootenay Boundary Regional District with a population of 30,324 has the Columbia River Skywalk for the Pipeline/Pedestrian Bridge.
- The Capital Regional District with a population of 381,231 has the new Goldstream River suspension bridge.
- Strathcona Regional District with a population of 44,805 has the Elk Falls Suspension Bridge.

The CRD says the Goldstream River suspension bridge will be similar to bridges at Haslam Creek in Nanaimo, Cascade Falls in the Fraser Valley, Elk Falls Provincial Park and Juan de Fuca Marine Trail Provincial Park.
